One of the day’s major news stories is that of the armed robbery at popular columnist and journalist David Bullard’s home last nigh, during which David was shot in the arm and abdomen. He was attacked when he tried to fight off four intruders who threatened the safety of him and his wife. Read the full story here.
I drove to Milpark Hospital to carry out an exclusive interview with David. After arriving at the hospital, we walked straight into the ICU where David, although flat on his back in bed, was excited to see us, welcoming us into his curtained-off quarters, with a whole bunch of flickering machines beeping and blinking in the background. For someone who was shot no less than 24 hours ago he was in a phenomenally impressive state, joking and chatting about the incident – truly remarkable.
The Sunday Times also welcomed commentary from their online readers which have been flying in since the morning.
David is very fortunate to have walked (okay, limped!) away from such a dangerous situation – keep a watch out and be careful guys!!!!
