UPDATE Dirtbags doctor our Manto video

Since finding the hijacked YouTube interview with Mondli about Manto, I have flagged and emailed YouTube directly, asking for the video to be taken off. They have since come back to me asking for offical statements from my behalf. I hope by the end of today the video will be removed from the site.

The story, entitled “Dirtbags doctor our Manto video”, also made it into The Times, as a text and multimedia story, and the general interest about this issue by The Times’ staff has been quite interesting - a mix between shock and disbelief. I think it’s because they relaise that content is not that safe once online, and that the distortion or the misuse of ones content is a real threat, carrying serious implications.

The issue we are faced now is how to go about monitoring such misuse…where to begin…
