Some more harsh insight into the real Zimbabwe

Viewer discretion advised!

I came across this photo stream on flickr. It’s the photo stream of Sokwanele - Zvakwana, a peoples’ movement, embracing supporters of all pro-democratic political parties, civic organizations and institutions.

Do yourself a favour and pass this on, as these images depict what is going on in the country, of which we merely hear / read about, since most media organisations are barred from the area.

Is it not possible that these photos are just propoganda? they come from an extremely bias source…

Riley - they’re still showcasing some very horrible imagery. And it’s common knowledge that ZANU PF have set up intimidation camps and beating the crap out of MDC supporters!

Mogabe himself is quite a good leader, it is not suprizing that there are many who would like to take his position of power, by whatever means neccessary, even if that means taking advantage of the controversial environment that the zimbabwean political arena has produced in order to blacken his name. “Possible” fabrications of unrelated injuries are a great resource to to exploit in this way, dont you think? Especially if it is safe to assume that the distant recipients of such “propoganda” will never really see these camps first hand.

Riley - firstly it’s Mugabe, not Mogabe. Secondly, please justify your statement of Mugabe being quite a good leader…

Sorry a typo/tipo/typpo, which ever is correct. Anyone who has ever witnessed a speech by MUgabe knows how inspirational he is a one of Africas great leaders. He took over from britain after indipendence and really hit the ground running. With a few glitches of course brought on by pressures from the western world (ie. Bair), and long standing effects of British imperialism. Any body who leads for 26 years can only be a good leader, the rest of Africa should take a page out of his book.

Riley, I agree with you! You HAVE to be an awesome leader to be able to be voted president for 26 years in a row! Groogle, what is your point with this post anyways? You strike me as a typical Brit!

I think you are both leaving out 2 years of awesomeness… it was 28 years. Jokers…
